No spray cans in sight.. Golden C64
I'm sure you've seen a spray painted fake Golden C64 editions before.. I thought I'd go one better ;D
23ct gold C64.. It's the future :D
First, a dug out a reasonable cased C64 without cracks/scratches.. No filling for me :D
Some say I have more C64's than pants. Some also say, I test and label them so I don't have to bugger around looking for workers!! (C64's not pants)
Labels first!.. Freezer Spray is your friend.
Spray the back of the label.. And fingers crossed you should hear the glue crack.
Perfect.. It just fell off.. No bendage
Same for this one too. Happy days!
Time for a quick clean
Looks dead nice now.. Before anyone has a go at me, it does have some marks on the rear of the case. It's not A1.. Hence it's a donor
Magic glue applied to test area inside the lid of the case
23ct Gold Leaf.. I'm a mentalist.
Wow wee! :D Should have waited a little longer for the glue to dry a bit more before I stuck the gold on.. but hey
Looks good so far.. But my room is now full of bits of gold floating around the smegging place
I don't do things by half.. Looks a bit ruff.. But once the glue has set a little further you can flatten/polish it down. :D
Topside.. Touched up.. Still a little wet to handle
Re-capped.. I'm gonna use this afterall! Wouldn't you?
Sorry, I just had too ;D
Doesn't look so good in this picture.
Looks dead nice when you get the light on it :D
No bendage! :D
Yellow is the future.. But maybe not the grey function keys.. I think I'll swap them for brown.
Still needs a little extra flatting.. oh and a Golden Label.. But I'd say it's better than I was expecting!. My own 23ct Gold C64 :D Happy Days
C64 Golden edition stylie label.. now that's attention to detail :D
Just one last thing to make it look even better..
I couldn't leave it with a dark keyboard.. Keyboard donated via a damaged/yellowed Aldi 64
Ok, so whats next? Silver Vic-20? ;D
